Getting a nursery ready for a new born.

A new baby’s arrival is an exciting time in so many ways. A new life to protect, nurture, develop and love. Many parents feel that an important thing to get ready pre baby’s arrival is a nursery. A lot of time will be spent in this room over the next few years, so it is important to get it right for baby and parents. The focal point of the nursery is usually the cot or cot bed, so it is important to dress it correctly, with the right cot bedding. You can get a lot of matching cot bedding and bedding bales (which tend to be more cost effective), which will have cot quilts, bumpers, fitted and flat cot sheets, as well as blankets. It is also important to get the right tog rating duvet for baby, and this will be largely dependent on the seasons, and as time goes on, the age of the baby.

Once you have decided on these core items, you can look to finish off the nursery with co-ordinating furniture – chest of drawers and rocking chair maybe,  and perhaps a flat surface to place changing mats for the frequent changing times. You can then finish off the nursery by adding soft touches with a soft cushion, cuddle robes, sleep suits and wall art, and rugs, to complete a beautiful looking nursery.
