Who is Kylie?
Kylie Minogue was born on the 28th of May, 1968, Melbourne, Australia. Although her career in television began at the age of 11, she has worked and lived most of her life in London UK.
Although having been on TV for a while, she first achieved recognition when she took the role of Charlene Robinson in the TV soap Neighbours. She played Charlene for two years, after which she decided to take a musical path instead of focusing on television.

She released her first album under PWL in 1988. One of her most successful songs sold over 10 million records. It was the 2001 hit, “can’t get you out of my head”, and is to many her signature song. When you think of Kylie, there’s a very high chance that song is one of the first things you will think of.
Kylie has also ventured into other product endorsements of which include children’s books and fashion. She even has her own music company, known as Darenote. Kylie is most certainly a household name, she has won many music awards and even received the Australian Entertainer of the Year award for her live performances and has now sold over 70 million records.
She has also had a big influence in French culture, even going as far as to be appointed as a ‘Chevalier of the Odre des Artes et des Lettres’. This is the junior grade of France’s highest cultural honour. In addition to this, she was awarded an honorary Doctor of Health Science degree by Anglia Ruskin University in the UK for her work in raising awareness for breast cancer.
In November 2011, on the 25th anniversary of the ARIA Music Awards, Kylie was inducted by the Australian Recording Industry Association into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
